Where did that year go?  We’ve been offering amazing spaces and service to Altrincham’s remote workers and small businesses across the last 11 months.  It’s been a lot of fun so I couldn’t resist having a festive top 3 from 2019 as follows.

10 magical nights of networking

We’ve hosted some amazing talks from local freelancers and business owners over the year.  Alex from Altrincham HQ packed the meeting room to capacity in February for his annual Social Media update.  It was standing room only for some of us.  Other speakers covered copy writing, recruitment and market research.  A big thank you to Simon Edmondson ( pictured ) for sterling efforts curating the evenings for the Federation of Small Businesses.

New members

It’s been a year of introductions and fond farewells as some of our members scaled up and sadly moved to pastures new.  It’s lovely to see local businesses prosper in the space and the fact that small companies have thrived here and then moved to a larger office is testimony to our community of workers.  We are now fully booked for private offices and have a real strength in startups and small remote teams.  Over the last four months we have met some lovely new coworkers so our community continues to grow.

Partnerships

We’ve been in Altrincham now for 3 years and have introduced a lot of businesses to each other.  In addition we are now able to refer business to other dependable companies.  It’s been fun to see this  all grow organically as people chat over a coffee, share a chat over lunch or travel around the country working together.  We intend to progress in this field to empower more Cheshire and Manchester workers over the next year!

Over the last week we have hosted our Christmas Social and we’re gearing up for Xmas Jumper Day this Friday.  The social started with bubbles in the office followed by a night out on the tiles in the town centre. We kept it real, visiting independent establishments and would encourage everyone to support your local pubs and restaurants over the festive period.

For 2020 we already have a solid roster of speakers for our casual and informative networking evening.  They are hosted throughout the year on the 3rd Monday of each month.
